I've been receiving messages to the effect of "What happened to my post?" from several long-time and valued contributors. Currently, comments are not moderated, so they should appear immediately. If I see spam, I delete it ex post.
It would appear that my spam filter has noted that the comments I delete have links, and has reached the conclusion that comments with links are spam. I've just found where the spam bin is, and sure enough, there are several comments there that should have been published.
I'm trying to figure out how to get around this problem (some people are able to post links), but in the meantime, if a comment doesn't show up immediately, either send me an e-mail or post a comment to the effect of 'Hey, where's my comment?', and I'll dig it out of the spam bin.
Many apologies.
Update: Typepad informs me that the only thing to do is rescue the good comments from the spam bin, thus helping 'train' the spam filter. So again, if your message doesn't appear immediately, let me know. And I'll try to keep an eye on the spam bin.
