Oh, this is very, very good news. Simon Fraser University's David Andolfatto - one of the best macro theorists in Canada - has started a blog: MacroMania.
It occurs to me that the Canadian economics blogosphere relies inordinately on people who have a link with the University of Western Ontario. John Palmer at EclectEcon and Mike Moffat are there now, David Andolfatto and Nick Rowe got their doctorates there, I got my MA and my first teaching job there, and even Marc Lee at PEF has a BA from UWO.
That is good news - I got my MA at SFU, unfortunately David stopped teaching the first course in Macro the year before I got there, so I didn't get to take any classes with him.

I teach at the business school (Ivey), not in the Econ department, but I did also get a BA in Economics from UWO, so I guess it evens out.
I don't think it is strange that there are a few econ bloggers with Western connections. I just wonder why other Canadian schools produce so few.

Andolfatto is one very bright guy.
Thankfully he is also very aware of his personal limitations. I'm guessing that he will restrict his attention to bite-size puzzles and contradictions. This will be an interesting blog to follow.
